PLEASUREINC. PLASTIC PEOPLE

Norwich brothers Jonny Silver and Kenny Pleasures, AKA PleasureInc. release ‘Plastic People’, the eponymous track from their upcoming debut EP, out 17th April. An extravagant satire of the money-grabbing upper classes, the track is danceable, groovy and slick - listening to PleasureInc feels very pleasurable indeed. The production is bright and bouncy, think bongo drums and funky Isley guitars, then add in a hint of noughties nostalgia for good measure. This is party music, add it to your Sesh Tunez playlist, there’s even a bridge that does that classic underwater effect thing. As a band PleasureInc are intentionally stylish and playful, these dudes surely wear their sunglasses indoors, I mean have you seen the press shots? They’re painted blue. “The whole point of starting this project was to get away from the tropes of mundane indie rock and gloomy post punk, and make something that’ll get you up to shake ya booty” explains Kenny Pleasures. Mission accomplished fellas. -Adam Brown
